We take our water for granted in many parts of North America. Many areas on the West coast are already feeling the impact of this limited resource.

If there is one small thing you can do on a daily basis it is to only use water as if it were a prized treasure. So THINK before turning the tap. Fill a container for rinsing Veggies etc. Limit dishwasher usage or don't use at all. Share the chore of dishwashing. Turn off the tap when shampooing, teeth-brushing etc.

Plant only drought resistant trees and shrubs that are native to your district. Use rain barrels collections for watering gardens.
Do cold water laundry only or frequently. Flush less frequently even if you have a high efficiency toilet. Talk to others about why you do what you do. Make the change today.
