Saving Energy – It’s The Economy Stupid

It's easy to understand why conservation is quickly becoming the new wave given the country's current economic situation. It is becoming more and more important to save money (in my opinion) simply because jobs are becoming scarce.
For the last couple of years people are uneasy about unnecessarily parting with their hard earned cash. And who can blame them, no one knows if their going to be the next one to be let go.
In my opinion today’s economy is the catalyst, far more than any environmental concerns and initial savings. In the psyche of most people (at least Americans) the planets natural resources are simply going to last forever.
For better or for worse this is the reality. If and when the economy takes a turn for the better, individuals will temporarily forget about saving energy and water at home or anywhere else for that matter.
And this is a real shame, in my view at least.
